  • Wrongful withholding can cost up to triple plus attorney’s fees; deposits capped at two months’ rent.

Itemization: Itemized list of damages required.

Interest: Interest is owed on deposits held six months or more.

Deposit cap: Capped at 2 months’ rent.

If they wrongfully withhold: Wrongful withholding: up to 3x plus reasonable attorney’s fees.
